Interesting Acquaintances is a series of psychological portraits based on people I have known. Rather than depicting their physical appearance, each painting reconstructs the emotional impression they left behind. Colour, geometry and expression become symbols of memory, revealing personalities shaped by kindness, conflict, intellect and experience.
The Monster

The Monster explores the way some personalities can dominate our memories long after we have left them behind. Inspired by a difficult acquaintance, the fractured forms and layered geometry suggest conflicting emotions, manipulation and emotional weight rather than a literal likeness. The portrait is not about appearance, but about the lasting impression a person can leave on the mind, where memory transforms them into something larger than life.
“The Intellectual”
