Constellations is a new exhibition of nine acrylic paintings exploring the idea that drawing is an act of connection. Just as people have long imagined stories by joining the stars, these paintings bring together networks of lines, shapes and colour that gradually form larger visual relationships.

Inspired by the order and beauty of the universe, the series reflects my belief that God’s presence connects all creation—from the smallest cell to the greatest galaxy. Each painting stands as an individual work, yet together they become a constellation, inviting viewers to reflect on the unseen connections that unite people, nature and the cosmos.

Rather than depicting the night sky literally, Constellations explores the patterns that emerge through observation, imagination and contemplation. The exhibition is an invitation to slow down, discover connections, and consider our place within a creation that is both vast and deeply interconnected.

Historic Drill Hall, Leeuwin Barracks, East Fremantle

I am pleased to be exhibiting in the 51st Army Art Exhibition, one of Western Australia’s longest-running annual art exhibitions. Held at the historic Drill Hall in Leeuwin Barracks, the exhibition brings together established and emerging artists from across the state while raising funds to support creative programs for serving Defence personnel, veterans and their families. For this exhibition I will be presenting works from my Quiet Devotion series—a collection of paintings inspired by Christian history, sacred imagery and the enduring practice of contemplation. Through these works I explore faith, memory and the quiet beauty of devotion, reinterpreting historical subjects in a contemporary visual language.

I look forward to sharing these paintings as part of this 51st anniversary exhibition.

I will be exhibiting a selection of paintings from my The Hunger Inside series as part of the HeART & Soul Exhibition, presented by Richmind WA.

HeART & Soul is a community arts initiative that brings together people from all walks of life through creativity, promoting connection, wellbeing and recovery. Led by Richmind WA’s Principal Artist in Residence, David Giles, the program encourages participants to explore their experiences through art in a welcoming and supportive environment. The annual exhibition celebrates the power of creativity to foster confidence, belonging and meaningful conversations about mental health. (Richmind WA⁠)

The Hunger Inside reflects my own journey of discovery through painting. Created during weekly HeART & Soul sessions, these works embrace spontaneity, colour and play while exploring themes of temptation, hope, transformation and the search for inner peace. I am honoured to exhibit alongside fellow artists whose work demonstrates the profound role creativity can play in personal growth and community connection.
